The Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) is to start in mid or late September to solicit the official slogan for the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou in 2010 to the public home and abroad.

The works is supposed to:
1. Echo to the games philosophy of "Thrilling Games and Harmonious Asia";
2. Embody the Olympic Spirit and values;
3. Feature Chinese, Guangdong and Guangzhou characteristics;
4. Be simple, Sharp, powerful and clean, easy to remember and communicate;
5. Be good for visualization;
6. Be emotive and touching;
7. Be acceptable and understandable to the people of various cultures and countries;
8. Be bi-lingual in English and Chinese.
