Ngong Ping Nature Centre Opens for HK Nature Tourism
Ngong Ping Nature Centre has opened to provide visitors with hiking information and guided tour services, promoting nature tourism in Hong Kong.
The facility, established by the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department, is the first country park visitor centre on Lantau Island. It is also the first visitor centre furnished with 3-D display panels in Chinese, English and Japanese. Visitors can also enjoy aerial video footage of Lantau and search for hiking information at information kiosks in the centre.
Guided tour services are available to local primary schools and kindergartens. Those interested can click here to register. The services will be extended to secondary schools in April.
Visitors can also join guided tours organised by the centre at designated times. In addition to tours conducted in Cantonese, the centre will offer guided tours in English during public holidays.
It opens from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 6.30pm on Saturday, and 9am to 6.30pm on Sunday and special day designated by Ngong Ping 360. It closes on Ngong Ping 360 Servicing Days. For more details call (852) 2259 3916.
