Metro Service Hours to Extend on National Days

From the September 29 to October 1, Guangzhou metro will offer one hour extended service to release the larger-than-expected ridership during the national golden week. Trains of the four lines at the peak time will arrive on the stations every 3:20, 3:20, 3:04 and 7:58 minutes respectively.

The peak time of line one and line two is from 9:30 to 18:30, and line three is from 9:00 to 20: 30. Intervals of four lines at the non-peak time reach four minutes.

                                   

It is expected 2.56 million passengers can be delivered daily by the metro. The metro company has prepared one million ready-made tickets and set up temporary ticket spots to reduce passengers' waiting time.

Travels by Air Surge to Peak

Almost no more discount of airfare is available as the National Day Holiday is around the corner. Many citizens have decided to travel during the Golden Week holidays. The surging demand pushed airfares rise.

                                  

According to the statistics of China Southern Airlines Co.,Ltd, 25 thousand passengers left yesterday.

It is learnt from the booking office of Baiyun International Airport, that the price of flights towards Beijing, Wuhan, Changsha, and other popular sightseeing destinations keep rising.

The airfares will begin to drop after October 1st, some down to 80% or 65% off.

Coach tickets to be booked days in advance

The tickets of Inter-province coaches can be booked 10 days in advance at the Guangzhou Coach Terminal.

The tickets of within-Guangdong coaches can be booked 5 days in advance.

Special shifts are scheduled for 25 hot lines towards Dongguan, Shenzhen and other cities.

At the Fangcun Coach Terminal, bus tickets can be booked 7 days in advance. More shifts are arranged.

The traveling peak is expected on Sep. 28, 29, and 30.

Ferries features attendants in "Sweet Lolita" dress-up

More than 10 different yachts will be operating every 10 minutes from 18:20 each day during National Day Holidays.

The attendants aboard the yacht ¡¡ãHappiness with Comics¡¡À will be dressed in ¡¡ãSweet Lolita¡¡À style to set up delighting atmosphere. The vessel will sail at 14:00 and 15:30.

The most popular cruise of the vessel ¡¡ÀGallery along the Pearl River¡¡À will set off at 09:00 every day from Sep. 29 to Oct. 4 at the Tianzi Pier at the southern end of Beijing Road.

Ticketing by phone or internet will not be available during the Golden Week.

Traffic control to be imposed around the railway station

The municipal government is to control the traffic from 14:00 to 18:00 on Sep. 28, and from 07:00 to 17:00 on Sep. 29 in the Liuhua Area around the Guangzhou Railway Station, including the traffic on roads and pedestrians.

Vacant taxies and unauthorized coaches will be limited to enter this area.
