The Guangzhou Municipal Price Bureau has notified the city's hotel industry association of the guiding prices for hotel rooms during the upcoming 107th (Spring 2010) and 108th (Autumn 2010) China Import and Export Fair.
The guiding prices for five-star hotels are set as follows: RMB 1990 (USD297) for a standard room, RMB 2200 (USD328) for a deluxe room, and RMB 3300 (USD492) for a business room.
The guiding rates for standard rooms, deluxe rooms and business rooms at four-star hotels will be RMB 1530 (USD228) , RMB 1680 (USD250) and RMB 2200 (ISD328), respectively.
The rates for these three types of rooms at three-star hotels will be RMB 908 (USD135), RMB 1000 (USD149) and 1460 (USD217), respectively.
And the rates for two-star hotels will be RMB 505 (USD75), RMB 555 (USD82) and RMB 830 (USD123), respectively.
All of the above rates do not include service charges. Hotels operators may set rates for other types of rooms on the basis of the above three types of rooms, but the rates cannot exceed the mandated guiding prices. Hotel operators are allowed to set rates for suites according to demand.
The guiding prices do not apply to platinum five-star hotels.
